SV	Doch Amazia hoorde niet, want het was van God, opdat Hij hen in [hun] hand gave, overmits zij de goden der Edomieten gezocht hadden.
WLC	וְלֹא־שָׁמַ֣ע אֲמַצְיָ֔הוּ כִּ֤י מֵהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ הִ֔יא לְמַ֖עַן תִּתָּ֣ם בְּיָ֑ד כִּ֣י דָֽרְשׁ֔וּ אֵ֖ת אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֱדֹֽום׃
Trans.	wəlō’-šām^a‘ ’ămaṣəyâû kî mēhā’ĕlōhîm hî’ ləm^a‘an titām bəyāḏ kî ḏārəšû ’ēṯ ’ĕlōhê ’ĕḏwōm:

AC	כ ולא שמע אמציהו--כי מהאלהים היא למען תתם ביד כי דרשו את אלהי אדום
ASV	But Amaziah would not hear; for it was of God, that he might deliver them into the hand [of their enemies], because they had sought after the gods of Edom.
BE	But Amaziah gave no attention; and this was the purpose of God, so that he might give them up into the hands of Joash, because they had gone after the gods of Edom.
